Essential Self -- The point of light
The Essential self ( aka The Point of light) is referred to in many different ways. Some call it the soul, some the higher self, the spirit or the individuated self. This is not a boundless field like our true nature but rather our very individual soul. We could also say our true self.
When the soul is recognized again, we discover that we have always been lighthearted beings. Full of light, spirited and feeling a purposefulness in life. Then for the first time, it is possible to dis-identify from the false ego self and switch to the real self, which allows us to shine in our beauty and creativity. This series consists of 3 modules. It is an in depth exploration of the soul as well as our deviation from it. The duration of the modules varies from 2 to 4 days. Part 1 Deals with getting to know the soul and explore the quest for identity (secondary narcissism) Our soul, our spirit is the star in our lives, full of life and radiance. It has the wish to manifest itself here on earth and live the life it came to live. It can bridge the worldly domain to the essential domain meaning it can live in both worlds simultaneously. The soul brings true identity. We cannot live without identity, it is central to the ego personality. In fact our whole personality is built on it. Unraveling that false identity is a big part of the work. Part 2 In depth exploration of primal and central narcissism. The child needs so much mirroring in order to develop a healthy structure. One of the most basis mirroring is being recognized as this beautiful soul. As our parents could not give this to us we developed a life long narcissistic hunger to be seen, to get approval, to be appreciate, loved , valued etc etc. Only when we recognize ourselves in our own light can be really begin to heal from that lack. Part 3 The Beauty and the Beast. Exploration of the shadow side. The loss of being and our essential self has been the most painful experience of our lives. It was so painful that the only way we could defend ourselves against that pain was hating. But not hating in an overt way. This hatred has gone underground and formed our shadow side. Bringing this very wounded part of our soul to the surface brings deep healing. |
